Fall Greek Cross Pattern

If you would like a scrappier look I recommend that the entire cross block be of one color (all shades of blue, or red, etc) and one light background color. If you mix and match within the block it can look muddled. I do use a variety of background materials – have at LEAST 3 and spread them thru the quilt top or it will look like you ran out of material and subbed something in last minute or you grabbed the other color by mistake. A cohesive sashing color also works well, particularly if it’s a color NOT represented in the crosses. Otherwise – pull out the scrap bag and have fun!!
