Order and Chaos Pattern
$7.50 – $15.00
This is based on a population prediction mathematical model called Conway’s Life. It lets you “seed” an area and it predicts births, deaths and movements of the new residents. I was surprised to see that there were 3 stable patterns that were created plus little ones that moved across the screen (gliders). I incorporated all 6 of these in this design. Other than the black and white, no fabric on the front was duplicated. The back is all materials from my scrap bins of all widths and sizes.
The order in this design is the white blocks, the chaos is the black. The white was quilted in a simple grid while every black section was quilted differently. This quilt is the mascot for my professional organization company – it seemed to fit.
There is NO OUTER BORDER ON THIS QUILT. It ends with black binding on the edge. It was photographed at a quilt show against a black drape.
